How to Create a YouTube Channel ?


Friends if you are really interested in making your YouTube channel then this post is for you.

In this post I will share the step by step procedure to create a YouTube Channel.



But before going ahead ask yourself a few questions.
  • Why do I need to create my own YouTube channel?
  • What is my Goal behind creating a channel?
  • On which topic would I post videos on my channel?
  • What would be my channel name? 
So, if your decision is final, then lets go ahead.

Please follow the below steps and your channel would be setup in few minutes. After which you can start uploading videos on your channel. You can create a YouTube channel from your mobile as well as your computer or laptop. 

If you want to create a YouTube channel from PC or Laptop:

  • Open YouTube website in your browser. 
  • Click on Sign In button on the top right corner of the web page.
  • Login through your Google account. If you don't have a Google account, then create a new account by clicking on Create Account.
  • Once you have logged in successfully, click on your profile logo at the top right corner.
  • Click on Create a Channel.
  • Click on Get Started.
         

  • Now if you want to use your name as the channel name, then click on Select button below the Use your name. If you want to create a channel with a different name then click on Select button below Custom name.
           

  • If you click Select button for creating a channel with a custom name, then a new window will open where you need to type a channel name.
   

  • Type your channel name in the box and accept the terms. 
  • Then click on Create.
  • In the next page you can add a profile picture for your channel and your channel description. Also you can add your website's link or the link to your social media pages like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
  • Once you fill in the details click on Save and Continue. If you want to fill in these details later on then click on Set up Later.
Hurray, your channel is ready.

You can now start uploading videos on your channel now. Click on Customize Channel button to add channel art, profile picture or description in your channel.

If you want to create a YouTube channel from your mobile phone, the follow the below steps:

  • Open YouTube app on your mobile.
  • Sign in to your YouTube account.
  • Click on the profile icon on the top right corner.
  • Click on Your channel.
  • Type in the name of your channel and click on Create Channel.
  • Your channel will be ready.
Always insure to choose a good and meaningful name for your channel. Before choosing a channel name, search that name on YouTube to make sure if no other channel on YouTube has the same name. If you find a channel with the same name, it would be better to choose a new and unique name.
