Create a Windows 10 bootable USB Flash Drive

Microsoft has really worked on updating it's Windows operating system version year after year. In the last 15 years we have experienced many Windows operating systems like Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and finally Windows 10.  

Windows 10 has been more popular since the last few years. If you purchase a laptop or desktop computer you can choose to get a Windows 10 OS version preinstalled on it. But if you have bought a system without operating system then you need to install it.

So, for installation the first thing required is a Windows 10 disc or bootable Windows 10 USB flash drive. For getting a Windows 10 disc you need to purchase it online or buy it from a store. 

But in this post I will guide you how to make a bootable Windows 10 usb flash drive in just few minutes. Once your bootable Windows 10 flash drive is ready, you can install Windows 10 on your Pc or laptop. 

Now-a-days most of the computers or laptop come without an optical disk drive. If you want to play a dvd disc, then you need to spend some extra money on buying an external DVD drive. So using a bootable USB flash drive to install Windows is the best idea.

The first thing that you need to do is to download Windows 10 iso file from the below link. You can download Windows 10 iso easily from your mobile device as well. The only thing that you need to make sure is to have minimum 6 GB data for downloading this file. To download Windows 10 iso follow these steps:

1) Go to official Microsoft Windows download link.

2) Select edition as Windows 10 and click on confirm.

3) In the next page choose product language. Choose English International for selecting English language and click confirm.

4) Choose between 32 bit and 64 bit depending upon your computer or laptop configuration.

5) The download will begin.

The next software that you would require for creating a bootable USB flash drive is Rufus. Rufus is a free to use application through which you can use the iso file to create a bootable Windows 10 USB drive.
You can quickly download this software from its official website. It is a small application which gets downloaded in a few seconds.

Once you have downloaded the software, click on it to open and follow the below steps.

1) First insert the flash drive in the usb port of the laptop or PC.

2) The flash drive will be visible under Device in the Rufus application.

3) Under Boot selection click on select and choose the downloadws Windows 10 iso file from its location.

4) In the Image option drop-down menu select Standard Windows Installation.

5) Under Partition scheme drop-down menu select GPT.

6) In the Target System drop-down menu select UEFI (Non CSM).

7) Under File system choose NTFS.

8) Click on Start.

This would take some 10-15 minutes to complete.

Once the process is complete, you can use your usb flash drive to install Windows 10 on your computer or laptop. Make sure you have boot from usb enabled in bios. 

The version of Windows 10 that you will install on your system is 100% genuine and original. The next step is to activate your Windows 10 version by buying a product key from Microsoft. Once you have activated Windows, you can enjoy Windows 10 on your PC without any limitations.
